Wow, I think that is the best looking carving knife I have ever seen.

Outstanding carving knife Spencer. Beautiful is more like it.:thumbup:
You do it all.

Beautiful is an understatement!! The hand rubbed finish is awsom! Design elegant but strong...:thumbup: I would love to cut into a big venison roast with it. Wish I had one:D

Kevin thats one of the greatest compliments ever, in my short time building knives 2.5 years I will not limit myself to building one thing or go down as a tactical, forger, stock removal maker. To me its about the adventure of building knives, its that thrill of a new design, method, finish, material that winds my clock. Wait till you see whats next, if all goes well and I spend the time that has been set up with a very old maker, one that spent some time in the loveless shop, one of the early members of the guild, a maker that builds a certain style of folder that has really caught my fancy.

I begin this tutelage in the second week of January for 5 days, this will also be the first time I will receive mentor-ship other than the short hours I spent with Mike lovett. To say the least I am very excited it will expand my customer base 10 fold.

Thanks those 4 words are music to my ears

Yes it is chisel ground very thin but not so thin that it will fold when in contact with bone.

I have sold 7 3 piece sets in the last year and folks have come to enjoy them. Flat grinding is not my strong suit but i am practicing

No, sorry, it looks good. but i'd end up on the wrong end of that thing. too much point for the novice such as myself, that's all. Ouch!

I pulled my wife aside yesterday and told her "If you were wanting to get a special gift for the most special man in your life, something like this would be a great thing to consider."

Smart ass that she is, she said "OH... HE doesn't like cooking and knives and such like you."
Bitch!! But it gave me a great laugh!!!

Nice looking knife. A lot prettier than most carvers. I was wondering why the bolts/pins on the handle are recessed?
