Case 4" Texas Jack

I've been looking for a Case 4" Texas Jack for a while and I finally have an opportunity to pick one up in CV. From what I can tell it was made in 1984 and has the Case "New Grind" blades. The knife really looks to be in great shape and I am seriously considering picking it up. The only thing I am not sure about is the grind ... definitely looks different. I hate to sound ignorant, but could someone explain the "New Grind" pattern and let me know if it is a good or bad thing? Thanks.

Thank you sir! That is exactly what I was looking for. I tried the search function for Texas Jack and that thread didn't come up and never thought to look in Bernard Levine's forum.

I was lucky in the sense that the discussion took place in the last couple of days, so I actually remembered to look for it there. Otherwise, I'd be trying to figure out what 'magic words' to type in the search box too.
