i'm lookin at a buck 301 and a schrade 34ot right now. both kinda , sorta rub together. must be ok on your case.

Most of them will at least touch a little. A lot of guys make it worse by actually pushing the blade over when you go to lift it open. Watch yourself opening it slowly and you should see what I 'm talking about.

It happens to the best of us. If it is a user then use it. If it was meant to be a collector then a lesson has been learned. Some collectors never even open Stockmans. I'm a user kinda guy with light scratches on my blades/bolsters.

I have a few Cases and my large stockman seems to rub blades moreso than the other patterns I have.

I have a medium stockman that also rubs a little. It doesn't concern me too much though. Mine are users and are going to get a little scratched up anyway doing normal cutting chores.

Adds to the character of the knife.

One seems to find blade rub more often than not. The question is how bad is it and is the knife a user. If its a user, go ahead and use the heck out of it. Twenty years from now the rub won't matter.

My old Buck stockman had rub between the sheepsfoot and main clip blade. Never seemed to affect how well it worked for the quarter century I used it.

Yep, it's fairly common for the blades to rub a little. The good news is I sent one back once, and had it back in my hands in 5 business days. They did a great job fixing it too, I even had them tighten the backsprings to give the blades a better snap. They also buffed ALL the scratches and rub marks out too.

It's common. Both of my stockmans have scratch marks between the pen and sheep blades. You can't hear or feel it anymore though so doesn't bother me.

It's common. I have several that rub a bit. Makes me no nevermind. All of my knives are users.
