Clever. I did that very thing, slicing my Rt index finger. Tiny cut, bad place! Now knives are in pouches inside my whichever bag.

Nice little idea you got there. Good to see problem solvers at work. I'd make my own, but I'm too lazy. Where can I get one for less than $5?

God bless,
Adam

You don't want to make one? I thought you were more of a DIY type of guy from all of the DIY advice and comments you make ;)

Good idea. I have about 100 feet of 550 sitting around begging to be used right now.

Seriously though, if anyone doesn't know how to make this I believe it is called a cobra knot. There are a lot of tutorials online, pictoral and video, and they are very easy to make. You can even do a cobra stitch over the top of a cobra stitch and get a really fat one....good for DIY handles for a bag or pack that doesn't come with them....I'm going to do that on my Colossus once I figure out how to attach it. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Obsessis,

I think you'd be good just to use the zipper pull itself as the primary attachment point. That's what I did on my PSK.

Also if you're looking for good pullers the ITW Tac-Toggle that Mil-Spec Monkey carries is awesome. I picked up a 50ct a couple weeks back and am loving them. Unfortunately he only offers tan. http://milspecmonkey.com/store/products/details/1121/8/tactical-gear/itw-tac-toggle.html

I'll definitely check out the Tac-Togle. I've been looking to pick up some ITW Nexus Web Dominators in black, but unfortunately the only colors I can find without someone trying to rob me are tan and brown. I have some black zip-ties and black velcro zip-tie items to use for the dominators, but the tac-toggle looks like a better zipper pull than the black clamp-on ones that are sold at countycomm that I wanted to order. Thanks!

The zipper pull could work, thanks for the tip. I'll have to look exactly where on the bag it would work best. I like the colossus, but I want to be able to grab a strap to pick up and it doesn't have that. It's not on me at the moment, but I believe there are either some d-rings/tabs or molle attachment along the side I could connect it to. The main compartment tab I prefer to have both zipper ends on one side, closest to me, so when closed the handle would be rather 'vertical' than 'horizontal'.

I'll figure it out and will post pics if anyone cares. I'd like it to go the length of the bag with a fairly low profile. I could do that if the zippers left the main compartment halfway open, but again I can't reference it now.

I love paracord, it is like the duck tape of cordage.

+1

Also the web dominators are great. I got some for my Kifaru Zulu and they manage cordage well. Plus if you get a little inventive with them they can be used as a light attachment point on web gear.

Was just going for a few Rat Pack Points:D

but this thing has more uses than legs on a Centipede;)

Yes... its a Cobra Weave. I have tried a few other weaves as well and this one provides the right amount of rigidity and flexability.

Cobra Weave Youtube Link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPO19rXgaIo&feature=related

Requires:
2 ft. for the inner loop
6 ft. for the exterior weave
about 5 minutes per centipede

The same Centipede used on the Izula worked on the ESSE 4 sheath like a charm. Can even be rigged for use as a gear harness on the sheath.

Pics to follow.

And...If you decide to make one...lets see it... Post a pic of your Centipede along with its creative usage.
