I had a little time tonight so I decided to do a new Roach Belly out of 5/32" stock. This is rough ground and hasn't been heat treated yet. Ill catch the grind up after heat treat. I think I might leave it as a convex saber grind but might do a full convex. This thing is comfy!

Thats pretty darn sweet Chris. I'd definitely go full convex with it.....should make for a hell of a cutter.

Not my style blade, but still looks awesome.

Convex saber chris. With your antique on the flats. Good grief that would be sexy

I hear ya Clich. I heat treated it last night and will finish it up over the next couple of days. That saber gri.d is hard if you have never done it before convexed. Its probably the best feeling knife ive made thus far.

So here is the finished blade. I left some of the finish on the grind because I liked the way it looked! Looks like a forge finish. I spent more time on this grind than any other knife I have ever done. Its really hard getting the grinds to line up when you are convexing, flat grinding is no problem. I learned a few things doing it though so it should not take as long in the future.

Shoot, I wasn't crazy about it at first, but now I like it a lot. I can get a better feel for it from this photo.

Chris, you've got some great stuff going! This one is a keeper.
