check this out, wild rose tra.........

Yup
and some would say $325.00 for a knife??
let a lone a $6000.00 and up knife :)
when buck sells knives for $65.00 and less
Yup
These are a lot more than the run of the mill
folded leather machine stitched one hour jobs aye..

you must have looked at the one with the belt,
looks like a cross draw to me, nice one.

I've seen some of these in hand and the work and time
that goes into them, well I couldn't do it, time for time
a lot of them are worth more then a lot of the $325.00 knives
I've seen.

I really think about what I want to put a $650.00+ knife into.
and I'm sure many others do to.
 some guys buy sneakers while others buy wing tips.
of course this is IMHO..

Thanks Dan for the post. The $340.00 is for the sheath and Bandoleer strap. Most of the photos on my sight are of Old West styles but I do make more conventional sheaths. If you want to see any of these drop me an email and I'll be glad to send you some pics.

My mama always said "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all".

Dan, in answer to your question "What do you think? You have seen photos of my work--- I charge $30.00 (Not $300.00) for a fully carved custom sheath to fit a knife with a fixed 5" blade. This is the first time I have ever used the forums to indicate what my sheaths sell for and I am not solicting business as I am usually saddled with 4 to 6 weeks delivery time. IMHO I think the sheaths made by Wild Rose although very nice and professionaly done, are VASTLY over priced. I would be curious to know how many they sell in a year. More power to them if they can sell at that price. I certainly wish I could! Customers that can afford to spend that kind of money are few and far apart. You asked what we thought and I have given an honest answer----

Hmmmm, what to do, what to do.
OK, here's the deal. Let's let this one die without further comments. That way Darrel or I won't have to lock it and move it to the Backend.
We've allowed a little advertising, selling, and such amongst ourselves but this one is a little too close to the line.
Can we step back, take a breath, and try to keep it at 3 locked threads since this forum started?
Ball is in you guys court..

Sorry Kit
was not meant to be the way it's turning out.
and Thanks for the e-mail Ed yes I think they do earn it
and feel the same way about them.
Thanks guys for the input.. lock her up Kit
:) or is that beam me up Scotty??:D
