Checkering file

Looking for a Checkering file.(I think that is the right name.) Anyone know if these are available? Would like to use one for filing thumb notches on spine of knife. Can't seem to find one in any of my catalogs.

I got mine from a jewelry supply company. You might try here. 30-40 TPI is about right. You don't want too coarse.

I believe all the major knife supply companies carry checkering files. I got mine from Koval. Brace yourself, as they are not cheap. I believe I paid $28 for mine about 5 years ago. I think they are a little more now.
