Just wanted to brag on a fellow forumite. Have dealt with Chief jferguson4@home.com over the past week, he is honest and straight. I must add also, he does AWESOME Graphics work and Web Design. Would be a GREAT person to call on for dealers or individuals wanting to "beef" up their knife pictures or websites. Very reasonably priced also!

Hi Mikwe,

I'll second that John is a great guy and a pleasure to talk to.

Later,

I have never actually done a trade with John. I did get to meet him though at Lynn Griffiths shop when we did the knife testing. He seems like a good guy, very nice, and a real knife knut. He also has an awesome Microtech collection

It's my page that Chief has posted on the forum. What a great guy and very easy to work with. Plus, he really has taught me alot about web pages and the internet as a whole. John really overdid my page. Anyone looking to get a page done should be talking to him. A really class act. John, I know that I've told you this before, but I can't express the thanks for all of your help. I don't know how I will ever begin to repay you!

Gee fellers (looking down sheepishly) thanks for all the kind words. Have to find something to do after Air Force life, tried making knives and that was beyond me. Have really enjoyed worked with all of you and have learned a bunch from you, especially Pat. Knife folks are certainly a cut above.

Just yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting John (Chief) and purchasing a Microtech DA SOCOM from him…it was an extremely satisfying transaction in every way. I got an excellent product at a great price, but more important (to me at least) was the pleasure of doing business with a man who is as knowledgeable, professional and friendly as John. This man knows his stuff, guys (I'm sure that everyone who had read his contributions to the Forums realizes this). He was kind enough give me an "introductory course" into all of the features and options of the various MT models he carries (no hard pressure sell, just lots of good information)…this information was invaluable for a relative newbie like me. John also allowed me to preview several of the latest MT offerings as well as some of the treasures from his own collection…amazing stuff! In addition to his vast knowledge of MT products (and cutlery in general), John is also a helluva nice guy to talk to. You just don't find this level of personal service and commitment to customer satisfaction very often. If you're in the market for a Microtech, I can't recommend Chief highly enough. Great products, excellent prices and tremendous service…what more could you ask for?

By the way, John, that Combat Talon II was simply amazing. I'll have to start saving my pennies…

Jim,

It was an honor to meet you in person. Thanks for the kind words and the opportunity to serve you. Enjoyed making your carry piece "hair poppin" for you. Nothing works like a razor sharp knife.
