Chive Reassembly Debacle

OK gents, I searched and didn't find any thread describing the reassembly of a Chive, so, how the heck do I get it back together?

The specific problem I'm having is getting the torsion bar into the blade. I just can't seem to line up everything to screw it together. I have the blade opened and the frame lock engaged. The black spine, and the plate that covers the torsion bar is in its recess, then I sandwich everything together, install the frame screws, then the pivot screw with enough slack to allow the torsion bar to engage, but no luck. I unlock the blade, and slowly rotate the blade back and forth, still no joy!

Am I missing something? Is there some trick I should know about? To make things worse, I've got some pretty big mitts, and the Chive is a wee sized knife.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It is kinda tedious lining the torsion bar back up with the hole. First thing, take all the
screws back out, open it back up and push the torsion bar as far forward as you can.
The blade should be in the open position. With everything ready to put the 2 halves
back together, slip the torsion bar in the hole as you're seating both halves. It might take a
few tries but you can get it. Hope this helps.

I've taken apart every AO I own more than once , the trick is to re-assemble it with the blade about 3/5'ths in the open position so that the stick up part of the torsion bar clicks right into the blade after putting your screws in.

I hope this makes sense.

+1 for what svrider said.
If it's anything like my Centofante (I think they even use the same torsion bar), then trial and error worked for me. Seating the torsion bar and sliding it forward, having the blade at 90 degrees while pushing the halves together, slide the blade open and it popped back in.
Hope it's of some use.

Well, thanks to everyone who responded, your tips worked, and I got the Chive back together. Cool little knife; the blade sure pops open with AUTHORITI (from So. Park)!

Thanks again guys. Now back to our regular scheduled broadcast...

Awesome!!
