It has been said on more than one occasion, but I must say it again. I went to BLADE this past weekend, and while I did pace continually all 3 days around the tables, I must say, I did most of my hanging at the CRK booth. When you talk to the makers and the workers in the company, you even have a greater appreciation for their knives. Not only do you get great knives from CRK, but you are getting a product made by people of great integrity & honesty. Amidst the crowd at the booth, I was able to spend a good deal of time talking with Anne & Julie and Chris also. During the tormenting period over what to buy, they were very patient with me as a dealer, just as they were to all the retail customers. They took much time to listen to me, answer a 100 questions and offer a high level of support to me as a dealer. By time I left, I felt like I was part of the family and even left with a big hug from Mrs. Anne

Those that did not get to go to BLADE from the CRK staff are not overlooked either. I talk to Bridget a lot and I know there are others in the background in the shop that probably do not get much recognition on the outside.

So.....once again, I must say that CHRIS REEVE KNIVES ROCKS and I am proud to be able to carry your knives as a dealer.

Truly some of the the finest folding knives ever made by anybody in any country today. None of my sebenzas have ever disappointed me unlike some of my other (way more expensive) knives. Great people at CRK too - I wrote them a lengthy email asking lots of questions before buying and they wrote out a great, friendly, informative reply.

And Mike, please do not tell me that you have wood inlay sebbies in stock

Am already in hot soup with the wife for my two new Carsons

Between Chris and Kit, my wallet is is pretty poor shape... But i can hear a wood inlay calling my name faintly every night in my dreams... I'm done for...

Without question, the crew at CRK is top notch! They were the highlight of the show for me. I am new to knives, and it is nice to see the crew responsible for the knife you carry around with you every day. Unfortunately, my wife made me behave at the show, so all I could get away with was a new sheath and a tube of grease-but now I am drooling for a one piece-just don't know which one!
Wish I could have met some of ya'all there-we probably were bumping into each other at the booth and did not even know it!
Again, thanks to the team at CRK!
cheers,

I have played around with Sebenza's for a few years now. I have bought several and always end up trading them for a more "appealing" custom. Even sold a 2000 wood inlay large a few months ago. I have always liked the knife and everytime I end up without one I think, "well time to try and score a 'benza"

Well I scored one at the Blade Show! This time I think I will keep it. I seem to have a greater appreciation for the knife now that I wandered the floor at Atlanta and had the chance to pick up several knives by several custom makers that I had wanted to see. Don't get me wrong these customs were nice, but the Sebenza "production" knife just seem to have a better overall quality.

Really made me think about the Sebenza real hard.
Since getting home with it, I have made another deal for a second large Sebenza, and will be on the lookout for a CG model soon.
Gotta rest that billfold first!

I said this elsewhere and I will say it again, I could have purchased any number of custom knives for what the large woody cost me, but I just couldn't find one that impressed me any more than the Sebenza!

Mike,
Being the guy who sold it to me...You KNOW how I feel about my Sebenza. I've worn it clipped to my pocket or safely tucked in a CR nylon belt sheath EVERY DAY since I opened the box. I think it's just phenominal that a folding knife has such tight lock-up. It truly feels like a one piece knife when I lock the blade open. I am as amazed today as I was when I took it out of the tissue. And another thing. That BG42 steel holds an edge like nothing else I've ever tried!
I got to see and hold some decorated Sebenzas at the Louisville gun show last weekend. The dealer just happened to have the two designs I like best. "Solar Wind" and "Trailing Moon". All I could think of to say was WOW!

Art,

As you know, I am a great lover of all Sebenzas large and small. I have 4 of my own on the the way to 5 (yeah you hear me Mike and you know what I mean)..

But I can't help but address the issue of fit and finish in comparison to custom knives. In defense of custom makers, there really is no way for a maker that does his/her own hand work to compete with laser or water cut parts. It isn't humanly possible. The tollerances are too exact and the machining can be done that way because of the technology. It really doesn't matter if the maker is Bob Loveless himself. It just isn't physically possible. But, the beauty of customs is the concept of hand crafting, one of a kind and that final 5% of the finishing that makes the custom a work of art. That is what I love about them.

Again, I love CRK knives and have the sickness for them, but I also appreciate the finest custom knives because of the labor and workmanship and "LOVE" that goes into making them. I have some beauties, but we must appreciate both for what they are.

Just my $.02

Well Bob, if you must know, I agree with you. The custom knife may not be all about absolute precision. I will say that I have had a few customs that were though!

The precision of the CRK's just flips my burger, if you know what I mean. The way they open, lock up, and close is near perfection as far as precision of parts go. But you are right as some customs, while maybe not quite as precise, will just speak to your heart with their curves, shapes, materials, and a thousand other little intangibles that "production" knives simply don't have.

But when you talk precision, the Sebenza does MOST of the talking!

BTW Bob, what other 'benza's have you got hidden away?

I have to echo Mike here. They are the best of all the companies I deal with (and that's quite a few). I've been carrying the entire line for almost 4 years now and it is my most consistent performer and my best seller.

Ditto on the class and quality of the people at CRK. It's almost like an extended family. I never got a hug from Anne, though

. (Mike, you must really rate.)

Great folks and great products. (Can't wait to see the two large damascus woods I have coming.) One of the reasons I stay in this business.

Art,

Sorry to take so long on this. I currently have 4 of Chris' jewels:

1) Large Wood Inlayed (DIW) - you know where that came from (hee hee).

2) Large Classic 2000 Polished

3) Small Unique Graphic

4) Small Trailing Moon

That is what I got.. I would like more. Just let me know what you got and what you are looking for (trade that is).

I luv um.. And I probably will continue to have the sickness in spite of my sickness for customs...

Great product, great people..

Thanks
