Just ordered Chuck Burrows DVD on sheath making. The lady from the production company was very nice. Enjoyed talking with her. She said shipping was upgraded so it would get to me fast for Christmas. It's my gift to me. I would like to watch him work and this is the only opportunity I will have. Have admired his work and his willingness to share his experience for a number of years on a number of forums. A true craftsman is confident in his ability and is willing to share his knowledge. The artistic part makes his work unique. Looking forward to it. Anyone else with similar DVDs ?

I have Chuck's sheathmaking dvd, and I can honestly say you will enjoy it very much and find that the information is invaluble, and you will know that it was money well spent!Chuck also sorta reminds me of the late Bob Ross in his explanations . It really is entertaining to watch!

Loosearrow,

I purchased the Kitchen Kydex DVD from Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths about 3 months ago. (www.rivercitysheaths.com ) I had never worked with Kydex before in my life. I had purchased a couple of BladeTech holsters and wanted some custom modifications to enhance the concealment characteristics.

Mike shows how to form sheaths out of Kydex beginning with minimal equipment, (toaster oven and pot holder) and then graduates up to more advanced forming with a simple woodworker vice (shows how to build one), islet setter etc. He shows how to do tool sheaths, magazine holders, Knives and pistols. I found his explanations and examples to be simple, straight forward amd easy to follow. He even had a forming error on the pistol example and shows how to correct the mistake. Better yet is, Mike actually supports his DVD. I asked him a question at his email address and he actually answered me. I sent him some pictures of my work and he gave me advice on improving my work. Mike is a new friend and a mentor that I really appreciate. I have made holsters for all my hand guns and am now making money selling custom made kydex holsters to a growing number of friends and referral business is picking up from their showing the work I've done for them. I'm really enjoying myself allot.

I highly recommend Mike's DVD and his products to anyone wanting to learn about sheath making..

Thanks for the info. Regards Lee

I have learned a lot from Chuck's DVD and he is kind enough to have answered questions that I emailed him and posted on his forum. The thing I love about knife and sheath makers is their willingness to share tricks of the trade with newbies/total strangers.
You will learn a LOT from the video. Take notes there is so much info it can go right by!

Got it in the mail quickly as promised. Wife suggested I wrap it up and put it under the tree as a gift from her. O.K. I'll go along with her. Can't wait till Christmas. Maybe I should have her get me something else.

Pluss: You get to see me in living color wearing my red Willie Rag and bib overalls and saying Booger It Up more times than I ever have in my life! ;) ;)

Hope you enjoy it and Merry Christmas to ALL!!!!! :D

I can't wait, but I must. It will be nice to see the living craftsman. I may have a few questions for you. Regards, Lee Lucero

My wife bought me a copy for Christmas. I've already watched it once and I'm sure I'll watch it several more times.
It's a great dvd.
God bless,
Iz
