Being City Boy all my life, seeing Busse friends/fans posting pictures in wild, seems a lot of fun! More Camping fun than Battle fun (well, Battle aint fun, but you know what i mean.)

But I have question, Why you guys use "knife" to chop when there is "ax" deisgn for the job to chop woods

Now I think more.....Battle Mistress might not suit best in battle due to its size....even SH seems a bit big for war too.

You have a big knife. You see some wood. What do you do?:D :D

And there is a busse axe, rather 3 to be exact. But I am talking about felling axes :D

Ohh i want 1 of those, is it a double bit one. That would be awsome.

KAK just thought I would let you know, our conversation about customer service a while back seemed to do a world of good at the place we were talking about. Starting the very next day they were active again.

Micky, trying to remember which place lol... Curse my bad memory

But you can't chop the wood and use it to cut the meat......the meat will be DIRTY :o

Not if you clean the knife. And in survival use, you'll cook the meat and decontaminate it. Dirt comes with the turf.

IMO a large knife handles better than a small hatchet. And have you ever tried to stick a pig with a hatchet? Plus, you're probably going to cook the meat anyways, unless you're like me, in which case it's a miracle that you're alive to even experience the pleasure of owning a Battle Mistress in the first place.

Carry both, as long as the axe is a tomahawk for your throwing pleasure.

Dirt is like natures pepper, adds flavor;)
Studies have shown that before you die you will have eaten a pound of dirt!:barf: This is true. Of corse mostly all of this dirt we ate when we were young and dumm. Now that were older and dummer, at least we don't eat dirt:D

There is no rationale. We are men and we want really nice knives, what we do with them later is of little consequence.

I've seen a lot of posts here where people are "playing" with their Busses ie; putting them through car hoods and doors, chopping up innocent tree limbs, cutting cans of soda in half, cutting up range hoods, cutting nails in half, chopping up rope and cinder blocks....etc..etc..

Honestly, and someone please correct me if they can find a link, the only real world use of a Busse I can remember was posted by Skunk. He was on one of his ATV rides with his family and he used a SH-E to spread mayo on slices of bread for cold-cut sammiches, and then cut them in half!!:D

The point is we buy them because we like them.

P.S. I forgot about Jerry prying someone out of a wrecked car with a SJ.
