Today I was given a rare gift, one any knife collector should be envious of and I don't blame you if you are. :p
I received CJ Bucks own EDC, a beautiful knife and a perfect example of this great company's evolution. I now own a knife that a Buck, actually carried. CJ is a figure that has stood by traditions passed down from generation to generation and I know he will continue to keep the spirit of this great company alive, I'm thankful for this fact.

A name and a few knives that have had such an impact on my being, as a hunter, a collector and a farmer, four little letters make a huge word in my life.... Buck.
I'll take memories to the grave that I shared with a Buck knife and I'll share them whenever I can. I remember my loved ones passed when I see the Buck name, they trusted this company and so do I.

Thank you CJ, I will cherish this knife forever.
May God richly bless you, as you have blessed others.

And Dave, you are the man.
I'm so thankful for the giveaway, although I still can't seem to understand how You started a giveaway, and I ended up with CJ Bucks own knife. However it happened, thank you.

Thank you all for this wonderful forum, it's a great group to be apart of.

The knife will speak for itself when I get pics, so I won't go into detail about it now. I received the knife this evening so no pics now, but soon. :o

Congrats, at least tell us what it is while we wait for pcis, I know CJ was partial to the TNT.

Last time I ran into CJ (briefly at the factory) we compared carry pieces. I had my 313, he was carrying a Vantage Pro. (My introduction to the TNT was a couple of years prior at a factory sale. Chuck and CJ were signing knives, and Chuck had his TNT on the table, using it to open packaging as needed. I got to give it a quick heft and flick. Love that knife.)

I have to say (and apologies to anyone here who hasn't hear the term before) that I am impressed that the Buck guys are "dog fooding" their products.

("Dog fooding" comes to you from the geek world where we software developers live. Basically, it means using your own products.)

It's kinda like the CEO of a car company. Able to afford anything on the market, he insists on driving what his company makes.

There's integrity in that.

Dave had a giveaway?? ;)

johnny twoshoes....I see you live in Sarver, PA. I'm not sure where that is, but earlier this year I was backpacking through PA on the Appalachian Trail and I came to a place called Sarvers Hollow. I sat down on a log for an early dinner. I was sitting there and I saw the outline of what looked like a knife sheath in the mud.

I dug it out and it was indeed a knife sheath....and there was a fixed blade knife in the sheath. It was a homemade knife with two initials and a date stamped into it.

It looked like the knife had spent a couple winters in that spot, but I cleaned it up pretty nice and it now sits with some of my backpacking memorabilia.

Sorry about the long story, but when I saw you were from Sarver, it just shook a memory loose in this ol' noggin. :)

Congratulations on that prized knife you are now the proud owner of!!

congrates on the knife,it will serve you well.I always see pictures of Chuck Buck,I wonder if he ever carries a 110 while working around the house and what not.lol

Heh.

Shocker there.

And I do believe I've met that knife in person (well, *on* person, you could say).

Congratulations, man.

I'm not jealous or anything. At all. No, really, why would you think that??

CJ chose one of the best production EDC knives out there, I have one of those and freakin love it.

I could not even imagine what CJ's or Chuck's 10, 15,20,25 or 30 year award knifes would be....But I bet there cool!
