I will definitely be there.

I recieved some stellite today so I will have a couple of stellite bladed knives at the show with me.

I look forward to seeing a lot of forumites at the show..

There is no way I can make it to the fall show, but I am thinking the spring one is great possibility. I would love to take in one of the big Canadian shows.

Where can I find out what kind of seminars will be happening. As far as I am concerned they are one of the big reasons to go to a knife show. Of course meeting the makers, seeing great knives and talking to other knife knuts are also pretty good reasons to go.

Keith the two day format of the spring show which includes an annual general meeting for members does not leave any time for seminars.

Meeting and talking with the makers is encouraged and a great source of information. You will find the members of the Guild incredibly open and willing to help anyone who asks.

Occasionally for the fall show we organize seminars to be held the day before the show on shop safety or polishing or just an open house held at my shop which is abour 5 miles from the show site.

Nothing is planned this year but maybe next year. This does not mean that visitors are not welcome in my shop especially out of towners coming in for either show.

Hi Neil,

You can check their website at www.ckg.org If you can't find what you are looking for, feel free to call the phone number on the website (they were nice enough to fax a list to me the last time around)..failing that, I suggest that you email current president Wally Hayes

Regards,
RL

George and all other CKG members: I can't make the show this year, but would like to feature it on our new Internet Magazine site: www.bladesinternational.com
Will someone please get back to me at: budlang@linkline.com, and let me know if they can send pictures of some of the people and makers at the show, info, and pictures of a few knives? As you're all aware, a number of Canadian makers are featured in the magazine right now. Thanks, Bud Lang

I will get you off a brief show report, not sure about the photos yet. Maybe Carol will be able to get a couple of good ones.
