Click Clack Rattle (ZT0400 noise)

Been playing with my ZT0400 all day at work and have finally decided to post this. If I move the knife a certain way, I can hear a click clacking, rattle sound which I'm assuming is the torsion bar partying inside the knife. If this what it is, how do I fix it? If someone has had this problem before (I swear I read a thread on this ages ago) and knows what it is, can ya let me know? I figured I would ask all y'all before endeavoring to take this beauty apart. Thanks for your time :D

sounds like you need to put some grease in the torsion bar cavity.

This is probably what the noise is. As the knife is used, the grease in the milled out area for the torsion bar gets pushed to the outer edge of the cavity and a rattle can start. Take the knife apart and add some grease to the cavity...I use lithium grease and it works great.

As said, most likely grease. You'll want to make sure to do this because the longer you wait, the more likely the torsion bar will die on you. If you are nervous that you may have already caused significant wear and tear on the torsion bar, you can always call Kershaw and have them send you a free 0400 torsion bar (since you'll be opening the knife anyway, might as well put a new one in there).
