anyone ever throw these?i can get them to stick at 16-20 ft my question is would fire hardening the spikes make them bend less when i miss or make them brittle?

Heat treating it will make it more stronger but brittle, i don't really bother heat treating it because i like them being a small size and it doesn't bend.

if you will heat the metal up till a magnet wont stick to them then quench the metal in water or used motor oil
it will be hard but brittle but if you heat it up again and let it cool to room temp it will be strong but NOT brittle good luck
just found that out today :)

on a side note if you want something as light as a piece of hanger to stick beyong 15ft
you should try steping forward with your back foot it adds a lot of power and that makes up for the light weight of the hanger this works with overhand/underhand and sidearm these are all no spin throws have a nice day
