Here is a Coal Creek Forge hawk head that I etched and rubbed out to give it a sorta french grey patina before I etched it I sharpened it and then after etching I gave it a quick pass on a leather wheel if ya look close you can just see the glint of polished steel at the edge I put it on a curly maple haft not to fancy because I like this Hawk head so much it has to be a user. I am telling you this hawk is nasty. It has a lot of power and this guy makes a great hawk head. It feels almost like a war hammer if ya know what I mean. Thanks Bud for a great piece.. I had to put in this Shiva Ki fighting bowie they just go together I know the wood does not match Ki does a gloss handle and the Hawk haft is hand rubbed but I was not about to put a gloss finish on this haft to hard to touch up. My clothes do not match so why should my weapons:D
Ki etches his blades so I think the hawk head looks pretty good. I used some animal taxidermy bases I have around for a back ground and it was a snowy cold day to play around I just finished the hawk this morning I hope you guys like it

Beautiful combo! I'm a hard one to please when it comes to knives but that bowie has some nice lines. I have yet to see a Coal Creek Forge hawk that I didn't like. That is a heck of a piece of kit you have.

Thanks guys I have one more Coal Creek that he put a great bronze/black patina on so all I have to do is mount it.

Steve does make some pretty stuff...and I'm not just saying that cause he is helping me out, and lets me play in his forge. Nice job on the hawk JP.
