Ok, Matt saw this post of my first knife for sale and said I needed a little more info so he helped me write this.
My name is Brian Flud and Iam from a small town close to Fresno CA where I used to work with Matt Cucchiara as an Automotive Technician. I have been working with him now off and on in his shop learning how to make knives. I have made a few fixed blades and a couple folders of my own design.I like Tactical style knives that can hold up under hard use. Iam currently working with CPM154 and S30V blade steels that have been heat treated by Matt's friend and fellow knifemaker Lee Williams.
This knife pictured below has a 3 1/2 inch blade of 5/32 thick S30V steel and 6al4v Titanium handles that I have done some random pattern carving for some grip and decoration. The backspacer has some file work and the blade has been bead blasted with a very fine blast media. The total length of the knife opened is 8 3/4 inches and the closed length is 4 5/8 inches long. The blade can be opened by the nail nick in the blade or by using the ball of your thumb on the small serrations on the spine of the blade to rotate or flip the blade open. The action is nice and smooth and has a great solid lock up. The clip is hand carved out of titanium like Matt does his clips though I did this one in the shape of a Cobra and then bead blasted it. This is my first knife I have completed/listed for sale. I am open to offers and if you get the knife and dont like it I will take it back and refund your money minus any shipping or Paypal fee's. Please let me know if you have any questions.Thank you very much for looking at my knife! I look forward to hanging out on the forums and I will post some more of my work as I finish it.
Thanks!
