The handle is cocobola with a throat of buffalo horn, copper & black spacers. The handle is finished off with a copper/brass mosaic pin. The sheath is cow hide with a snake skin inlay, by Tess. This knife is also the first of two with my new logo on it.

There's something I'd have to call inevitable about that design. I'll share Bobwhite's sentiments lamenting my lack of funds!

J, a magnificent piece of work. Just spoke with Tess to confirm my order for this bowie. PayPay payment is already enroute. What a great job!! Thanks, Frank :D :) :D :D :D

Thanks to you, Steve and Peter, and especially to J. for creating a super bowie! I suppose being retired has its benefits..more time to watch the Forum for special knives like this one.

I am really excited about this acquisition!

Frank:D :D :D

Cocobola Bowie...sold.

Thanks Frank and thanks for the kind words from all. Let me know how you like it when it get's there.

Hi J.

Just received the Cocobola Bowie this afternoon. It's outstanding! It "holds" quite well and is beautifully finished. And, thanks for the nice sheath work, Tess. I was also pleasantly surprised at the rollup case that came with the knife and sheath. A very nice touch.

I look forward to some new acquisitions from you, J.

Frank :D

Thanks Frank. I'm glad you like it. I hate to say but, I had a hard time mailing that one out. Tess says I get too attached to these things and I can always make another. I don't know, I really liked that one. I should have taken another picture of the handle, especially the top where that long "eye" is. Anyway, glad you like it and thanks again.
