COLD FIRE, FOR THE RECORD

There has been some talk recently about the Cold Fire tactical folders that I have been making for Dave Lewis at Classic Cutlery, and as the designer and maker of the knife I thought it best to set the record straight. Dave Lewis has cancelled the Cold Fire project, and I have accepted, but under certain terms. Neither Lewis, nor I, will make any knives using the Cold Fire design or use the Cold Fire name. I have agreed not to make the rest of the CFs, and Lewis has agreed not to have any other maker produce the balance. In other words, the Cold Fire has been terminated. If anyone were to produce the Cold Fire knives, it would be considered a contract violation. To be honest, I don't know of any reputable knifemaker who would want to get involved with another maker's knife.

It is my intention to abide by the terms to which Lewis and I agreed. He has stated that he will also.

Let me say this to the collectors who may own one of the Cold Fires. I realize these circumstances have caused quite a "buzz", and that is unfortunate. However, I do hope you will see your Cold Fire as a nice addition to your collection.

I hope this will answer any questions you might have concerning the Cold Fire knives. If you have specific questions, contact me by e-mail. And NO, I don't have any Cold Fires sitting around!
