I just saw a demonstration of the above-mentioned blades at my dealer's shop, and I am absolutely amazed by their incredible sharpness! I really take my hat off the San Mai III steel used to make these tantos.
While holding on to one end of a strand of hair, my dealer used the tanto to split it! Yes, the hair actually got split along its length, showing a fork. Then he proceeded to chop the hair in two.
I thought this kind of sharpness only exists in myths... Now I've seen it for myself. Too bad the Magnum tantos are pretty expensive...
