Thanks for the warning...

some interesting designs to be found there, but the prices are crazy. since they always end up cheaper everywhere else (like half of the listed prices), you have to wonder if CS ever sells anything thru their website?

i like the new 6" Ti-Lite though...

That Hatamoto looks interesting.

No way I can justify the price tag, of course, but I'm a big fan of their Voyagers. This ought to be even better. Now, if they could trim about $200 or so off the price tag...

The 6" Ti-Lite is only $85 MSRP. I'm suprised it's that low.

because otherwise nobody would buy it.

i give the blade 1-2 months before it snaps.

The Caledonian and Hatamoto would be nice knives, if they wren't terribly overpriced.

Blade won't snap, not THAT cheap. The San Mais are HELLA expensive. I could get a custom or a Sebby for that

I did a search on SDF.com for the ti-lites and no-body who bought one was impressed with them. After only a few "Wave" type openings the action gets loose, and the knife itself is simply not impressive. Just what ive heard.

Hmmm, Strider pt, small sebenza or new cold steel folder... decisions decisions...

intersting about the zytel ti-lites though they seem to be reasonably well thought of over here. At least I hadn't heard of there actions loosening up.

I've said this before but I've found the zytel ti-lite to be a lot of knife and a lot of quality for the money. The 6" model is looking less and less attractive to me though- it might be more knife than I need.

I own a ti-lite zytel model. The action is getting a bit loose though. It's probably becasue I open it too hard, but still considering the way they advertise you would expect much more.

i own the ti-lite in both zytel and Ti.

the Ti version has a little blade play, but i've fixed it.

i used the zytel as my EDC for 6 months (just for the novelty of it) and have not had any problems with it thus far. Sharpens really well too, 5-6 swipes on the sharpmaker gets it razor sharp again.

take those prices with a grain of salt; once they hit dealers you'll find most will be about half the prices shown (if not lower).

how good a quality is san mai III? i've never had any personal experience with them, so i don't know how well they hold up vs S30V or VG-10 or even 154CM
