Some of Cold steel models are great knives! Their SRK and Recon Tanto are still good knives at a raisonable price. I own their Mini Kukri, great knife too, and speaking Bowie their Trail Master is a good knife too if it fit your hand good. But they don't beat Swamp Rat for price and quality

Cold Steel makes some great folders and fixed blades. Their Trail Guide series is the most affordable non-stainless lockback on the market.
Some folks around here don't like Cold Steel because they've bought better knives at close to the same prices (slightly lower or higher) and a lot of folks can't stand the statements made by Cold Steel's president.
