Cold weather is here

OK my workshop (uninsulated garage) is almost too cold to work in, unless the forge is running for awhile. This creates problems with epoxy, JB Weld, and I'm sure problems with all of my handle materials. Not to mention the fact that I can't feel it when I cut myself. So what are some of the things I need to consider as far as storing materials. It will get down to -20 or so before too long. Should I move all of the handle materials inside? Will the epoxy cure right at those temps? What about the machinery? You can bet I'll still be out there working, I'm too dumb not to! Thanks.

Move to Cincinnati :(. It's so hot here you don't need a forge, you could probably get steel to melt just leaving on the pavement. It's finally starting to cool down now, it's about 45... I need to move to Alaska ;).

I don't know about your machinery, but the epoxy lasts longer stored inside the house, winter and summer. It needs to be about 70 degrees for epoxy to setup properly. I just bring the knife inside for handles during the cold months.
This includes JB Weld.

Sudden temperature changes to natural handle material may cause them to crack. I have heard of gunstocks doing this. So you may want to bring in your handle material while you are at it if you are going to have to epoxy them on. Or be sure to gradually change their temp.

Going from hot to cold dosent seem to matter, going the other way does. I read a thread on the Himalayan Imports Forum awhile back where a horn handle cracked due to the extreme temp change.
