So far Kershaw has done colabs with Strider, Ken Onion, Rick Hinderer, RJ Martin, G&G Hawk, and countless others. Do you think it'd be possible to get a collaboration going with Kershaw and Chris Reeve?

I could definitely see a huge potential for something like this

I can only hope ;)

I asked, he yelled at me.

Maybe he'd be more inclined to do it if you sent him an 0560 to check out ;)

I think he'd be very impressed at both the quality and value of your products, especially your collaboration projects.

Maybe it's for the best. I actually think sending him a ZT 0560 would only scare him. Why would anyone buy a real Hinderer for $800 when you can get a ZT 0560 for a third of price? I mean, what is the difference? I could see with the Buck/Strider collaboration, the Buck version was using 440HC steel and may have been missing a few finer points. So as to not flat out replace real Striders. But the 0560 is being made to very high standards by an amazing company. Could you imagine if you could buy an Umnumzaan made by Kershaw/ZT for $200? Unreal.

He knows me well, as well as our products. We used to be close, but he doesn't care for me as much anymore. I understand why. Think he's less impressed with our products. :) Don't see anything happening at any point.

I'd like to see some from Oregon designers like William Harsey. He maybe isn't real well known though but his large 'tactical folder' designs would be perfect for ZT. Show him an 0560 and what could be done and he'd probably be up for it. He has some designs with another Oregon company that Rick Hinderer also had designs at. I'd love a 10.7" tactical folder with sculpted handles with one side a Ti framelock instead of a liner lock and setup for tip up carry. A reasonably strong detent and thumb stud deploy stonewashed Elmax like the 0551. I'd drain my bank account for a few of them.

Maybe Tim Galyean can start up the Pro Series line again but under the ZT name. Some of the best flippers around IMO.

Don't know if you've heard, but Tim has been back working for us for some time. Tim likes me. :)

Seems though the 0777 was an in-house design, I don't think they need anyone to collaborate with.

I'd love to see a Bob Terzuola collaboration though.

I would recommend that you send him your Tilt instead.

I hear he doesn't yell....much.

well I dont know what all happened between you a an CR but I dont even care. I think those other collabs were successful because they were more of custom makers using a production facility to release certain designs. Now a collaboration that would be nice for the ZT line would be a carrillo, Doucette, marlowe and or voorhies collab. I know those are all very different makers but I see a lot of commonalities with these makers and what ZT does and can do. The best would be the Carrillo. Very military like and I know if any company could pull off those designs in a factory its kershaw.

I'd love to the see Emerson Wave on a few of your ZT knives. I know that Spyderco and Fox have a few knives with the Wave... :)
