Last year in June I ordered a Commander combo edge, black G10 scales and black blade in a double V grind and the one I got was a Chisel grind, it didn't matter to me because I thought it was the coolest knife I'd ever owned. Anyway my question is, does Emerson knives still make the Commander with the chisel grind or can you only get it with the double V grind.

bigtree31,

The Commander isn't a "classic chisel grind". It's actually a combination of a "V" grind and a chisel grind.

I'll illustrate. The ES1-M (larger, Custom, Military version of the Commander) is a classic chisel grind, being flat on the off side.

The production Commander is "V" ground and then the final sharpening is done chisel style, on the left side. Most people never notice.
