I saw them in process at Reese's shop. The conversion makes for one SERIOUS Commander!!!!

"SERIOUS" may be an understatement ;)
Maybe, "Bad Ass" or "One Mean SOB" might describe it better.

I have always liked the design of the Emerson Commander but was never too impressed with the liner lock or the light handles. I always thought, if they could "beef" this knife up a bit.......

Well, Reese fixed those concerns in a big way - the FrameLock and the substainal solid titanium scales has made this knife "the one I carry"

Once again, Good Job Reese

WOW! That is awesome! I have never had an interest in the Commander, until now! What is the cost for the conversion and can it be done to a left-handed knife?

I bought the knife from an individual who had it done.
I believe that it runs about $300 - the only things retained from the the stock commander are the blade, pocket clip and pocket clip screws.

You will need to provide the stock Commander.

I also believe Reese can do it left handed as well.

Do a search on the web for Reese Weiland - you'll find his website and you can send him some email on the pricing and options. Could be a bit of a lead time however.

It is very much worth the cost.
