Commercially pure titanium?

I've sourced a big piece of 1/8" CP titanium. Would this be acceptable for integral folder scales? What are the downsides to CP?

Should be okay. CP is not best suited for strength applications is all. That would be the job of an alloy like 6Al/4V. For scales on a knife there shouldn't be any problems or difference. Intregal however (if you mean also a liner lock), I'm not sure really. Someone like Chris Reeve may be a better source to ask.
