comparisons and comments?

hi, am sure some of you have the knives below. would appreciate your comments on a comparison of the following (I'm thinking of getting one of them):

(1) spyderco wegner PE ATS34
(2) bm 940? osborne PE 154CM
(3) bm AFCK II 804? (with the axis lock and hole) PE D2

Any ideas how D2 steel performs, compared with ATS34 or VG10 or CPM440V?

Also, does anyone have a wegner jr for sale at a good price? thanks

Well, I can tell you my prejudices. I like 154-CM, which for all intents and purposes is ATS-34. I find it sharpens easier and I get good wear from a fresh edge. My wife likes CPM-440V. She cuts everything as a teacher and hates it when the edge fails. At the higher Rc, she doesn't (I don't) have to touch it up as often. However, to her, all blades are Xacto knives; cut until it's dull, complain, get a new knife or a fresh edge.

I prefer the BM 940. I like the steel better than the others.(I like VG-10 as well) and the 940 fits my hand better. I never liked the looks of the Wenger, and the AFCK never fit my hand. Does that make them bad? No. It means that you need to find something that fits you.

Any more views pls? I'm such a newbie in this knife thingy that I really rely on bf members' comments. Hope some of you have any or all of the knives and care to share your feedback....thanks!
