These just arrived today. Overall, I like them both thus far. The fit and finish of each is great and far better than some of the earlier offerings from Condor. It will be a week or two before I can get them in to the woods for a full review, but these are my initial impressions. The third knife pictured is my modified Condor Golok for reference purposes only.

The Warlok is big and I mean BIG! It feels massive in the hand. The handle is ergonomic and the blade profile makes it very "weight forward" which of course is optimal in a chopper. The blade has a slight convex but a relatively distinct secondary bevel. It came sharp but with a quick hone it is now extremely sharp. The leather sheath is nice but the knife feels is a bit clumsy going in and out. I believe this is due to the obtuse angle on the back of the blade. I'm sure with practice it would come to feel more natural. As you can see in the last photo, a snap popped after I unsheathed it five or six times. An easy enough fix, but still a negative point in my opinion. My experience with Condor's customer service has always been good, so I'm sure there will be no problem getting the sheath replaced. I plan to wrap the Warlok and the Golok in kydex anyway. I expect this thing to go through wood like a Stihl chainsaw. We'll see.......

The Pack Golok is a really great feeling knife. The balance is excellent with a distinct "weight forward" feel but not quite as hefty or overwhelming as the Warlok. The blade has a full convex and mine was done exceptionally well. It arrived very sharp but after a couple of strops, well, I'm afraid that it will cut me just for looking at it. The handle has a very nice forward angle which lends to the exceptional overall balance of the knife. The sheath is a very nice brown leather and I have not experienced any snap issues with it. The knife is very fast out of the sheath and goes back in equally as well. I feel like this will be a great chopper but also more adaptive to smaller tasks than the Warlok. I may actually add a functional choil to this one to further facilitate this point. The only complaint that I have is the extreme smoothness of the wood scales. This is a common issue that I have with most Condors but is easily corrected with a wrap or a wood modification.

I'll post a new thread once I've had these bad boys outside.

Nice initial review, can't wait to order, definitely getting the engineer bolo, village parang, and pack golok. Still deciding if i want to get the warlock and lochnessmuck

Thanks for the pics. The Pack Golok looks like it has plenty of room on the handle to choke back for max leverage and a close grip for finer work.

How much do they weigh? The online specs are always off.

That's sweet bud. Great out of the box review. I'm sure you will get good use out of those. Can't wait to read the full use review. Just from the pics I like that golock still. Be a hard choice for me to make between that and the boomslang.

I'll update with the actual weights as soon as possible. Maybe tomorrow.

I don't know brother, that's a tough choice. Don't decide until I work the golok a few times. I'll send it up so you use it and then make a well informed decision (and maybe some G10 scales) ;)

I get the feeling that the sheath for the Warlock will be getting changed to make the cutaway at the top match the curve of the top of the handle better, so your replacement sheath may be an improvement in more ways than just a fixed snap. :)

Good review. I had $350 set aside for blades. Life happens & now i have none. I'll be picking up a Warlock, Pack Golock & Lochnessmuk at some point. I love me some choppers.
