Just wanted to give a shout out to Craig and Daniel for being the Master Smith and Journey Smith that will be at next years Jerry Fisk Micro Show! Should be very exciting!:D:D I know I am! Sorry Craig, you know I love you man!

Thanks Chuck. I am really looking forward to the gathering. From all I hear Jerry has done a great job putting this new type of show together. His inovations with both his knives and his marketing are remarkable.

By the way, I am going to start trying to do about 1 piece a month from now until October targeted at this show. Anyone out there have a suggestion what they might like to see?

Daniel

Sure Dan. Half the knives to be your regular style with hunters and Bowies and then half being things you don't normally do such as other types of Bowies, Fighters, Dagger, Hunters. Express your self and have fun.

Daniel,

I probably won't be there, but of all your work, one of my favorite are your little dress friction folders. I think they're lovely.

Would sure like to see some of them "dress" period pieces. You know, those big dress gentlemen Bowies.

Daniel, of course Karen will be there too?

:) These two guys are going to be great for Jerry's show.

Dan and Craig,
Please show photos of your offerings as you get them finished. It should be a very interesting year.

Thanks for the input. This kind of information is valuable and most welcome.

It looks like variety is going to be the way to go. I have a few ideas for some pieces that are really different along with some variations on my regular style. Keep the ideas coming and I'll keep thinking.

I figure Karen will probably come to the show with me, she usually does and this one seems like it will be more fun than most.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks Chuck, I am very excited about the show. I have been running some designs through my head for the show and have a few picked out for the show. I am also planning to leave some designs open to evolve later throughout the year.
I am planning on bringing a couple knives that are my regular models, including one of the new recurve fighters I posted a couple days ago.:) I am also planing on bringing some pieces that I have really been wanting to try but haven't had either the nerve to try or the time or really a combination of both.
To address the time issue I have already began to set aside some time each month to work on a piece for the show. As for the nerve part, I am just going to go for it and try to push my skill sets and challenge myself.
Currently I am working with my webmaster to update my website. Once we get it finished up I will let everyone know. I am going to have a section dedicated to the Fisk Micro Show that will show progression threads of the knives that I am working on and bringing to the show.
One last thing, as a fellow knife-nut, it is going to be really cool for me to get to handle and checkout Jerry's and Daniel's knives!!

The Show has been a blast the last three years and I'm really excited about '08. Hard to believe that the show has only gotten better each year. The food is always great, Kim is one of the best bakers and her treats and cookies are out of this world. Red and Jerry are super friendly and Jerry's home becomes yours while the show is going on. Probably some of the best weekends that I have evr spent. Plus I haven't even gotten to the knives. We look at them on Friday and then Friday night is just like Christmas Eve, no sleep only dreams of knives dancing in your head:D I am so gald that Craig, Daniel, (hopefully Karen), and Mr SHEATH himself Paul Long will be in attendance next year. Hard to tell who the guest speakers will be.:D:thumbup::D
