I wanna give something away to the folks over here. So lets do a contest. I think it would be OK for anyone who either has a backwoods or a KFU blade, OR is penciled in for an order and patiently waiting for their goodness. Just post up your favorite outdoor pics. Limit 3. They can be anything, a sweet view, a cool knife pic, something you made out in the bush, etc. I would like one pic to be of you USING your backwoods of kfu, and for those of you without blades yet, well youll have to impress me then :D Ill do some sort of drawing, or maybe ill have my wife pick, it something, I dunno yet.

The rules are again
3 impressive pics
Must own a backwoods/kfu or be on the order list. (Oh and if you get an order in before this contest ends well then you count. Support the guys)
Chat all you want. I like talking to ya fellas
Lets say a 10 day contest. So February 20th it will close.

The prize? Well hows this?

Just got this but I don't wanna be selfish with the kfu edcs :) plus the wide blade is never getting kicked for my left ass pocket. It currently has a left hand sheath but if the winner wants ill send a right hander instead. good luck.

Great contest Clich, thats an old one! Great gesture, can't wait to see some pics.

Here's a start -- 2 nighttime pics from last summer's pasture fire. (the new neighbor decided to burn his 120 acres by lighting and leaving -- we lost a lot of junk trees (juniper is a weed) and a shed, but since I had done a controlled burn of half our acreage a month earlier, it never got close to the house...
first pic - he had a reflare around 10 at night -- this ring is 1/4 mile from me and the stuff int he background 1/2-3/4 mile away.

second pic: had a bunch of hedge fenceposts leaning against a tree - dead grass or a packrat nest tucked in there lit. (yes, I saved the tree)

third pic: KFU content TBA.

Nice neighbor! :(
Diggin' the second pic, looks kinda eerie.

Cool, sounds fun :) I have a Backwoods, but no KFUs.
Some of my favorite pictures from my outdoor trips. Last one I went on was so long ago that it was before I received my Backwoods, but once the weather warms up a bit, I'll be back out.

The view from my tent on my first solo overnighter.

Hard choice choosing on the next picture between this one and one of us walking into the woods with some beautiful red leaves (was in the fall sometime), but I guess this action shot wins:

Just enjoying a view. Not an amazing view by some people's standards, but living in NYC, as long as it doesn't have concrete, it counts..

Thanks for the contest, Clich. Good excuse to show off some pictures, too.

I'm in please.

Thanks Chris,
I had some help from a friend who sent me an instructional video;)
Pics are a little blurry, I just took them and I didn't use a tripod so
my hands were shaking from the cold.

I'm in. I am waiting on a Satinwood Kephart with red liners. In the mean time I'll entertain you with a picture of a Fiddleback. After dinner that is.
So, I took my kids for a walk at this little pond and of course I always bring a knife or two.
When I got there I parked the family car right in front of this tree. Yeah I know sap or pitch. sap / pitch I think it's the same thing an old timer tells me there's a difference, but I digress.

Cool pics guys, Id put some on but I dont wanna sway the judge! Welcome aboard TPVt, glad to have you around.

First picture is one that I took one morning here in ND. I was a bit late to get out into this field and hunker down to wait for some deer to come buy, so I sat in my pickup and glassed the field for an hour. This picture to me kinda represents the reason we call it hunting. Its not always about actually harvesting an animal. Theres so many other beautiful things that make it so enjoyable.

Next is a couple deer I had the luck of seeing in a local wildlife reserve. Theres all kinds of game there that you can watch along some driving paths and theres also a lot of walking trails to wander around on. Its a pretty cool place that I like to enjoy a couple times a year.

Here is an attempt at a featherstick today. I'm not really great at it and the wood was kinda green, but I think it would still light and be able get a fire going. The knife is a small bushcrafter made by Bill.
