Cool Shot Show Videos

Right? That b.o.b. folder looks really promising. As long as the handle/ blade ratio are good I will have to pick one up. Assuming it's to the same specs as the fixed I would love a 4 1/2" folder with a carbon steel blade that I can strip and develop a patina. I am very interested to see the finished product but even more so in seeing the final price. $250 seems a bit on the high side.
I must say I'm a bit disappointed in spyderco's video.

1095 in the folders kills it for me. Low alloy carbon is great for the woods, but the edge dies way too quick for loads of cardboard.

True but it's just an itch that needs to be scratched for me, and it's the first viable option that has the things that I want and looks good too.

Nothing wrong with that! I would keep your Spyderco disappointment in check, they always seem to save the good stuff for IWA and the Amsterdam Meet. :)

Yeah I was looking over their '15 catalogue, and that's a different story. I should say I was disappointed in the knives they chose to display.
