Was toying around with my old shoulder harness and I made it into a leg strap setup. Was initially trying to make it so that I can draw from my back but that setup was a bit flimsy. Are there any other type of setup around?

Comments pls :)

That's pretty cool! I usually don't pack around my throwers "in the field," though. When I'm using them, I just carry them around in my off hand. When I'm not, they go into whatever simple sheath they have (and then into the backpack). That is a really neat rig, though. It would probably be good for throwing competitions, or if you were tromping around the woods and throwing at random targets.

Thanks!

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but in competitions, is there a list of allowable knifes that could be thrown? Or could you use any knives you wish? I probably would be using my simple sheath that loops around my belt as it is not so visually threatening.

Well, I have never actually been to a throwing competition. I did have one friend who would go to "moutain man" competitions that had black powder, knife, and 'hawk contests. He said the knives used there had to be home made (looking).

I'd bet the details change from competition to competition. I would ask Mr. Bobby Branton about general contest rules.

So-- sorry for my lack of knowledge as well. I don't think your set up would look too threatening at a knife throwing competition where everybody else is also carrying around a set of throwers.

Sorry for the lack of specification. I was refering to using this rig during walk in the woods and hacking dead trees to death:D
