Could use some style advice.

I had this knife made for by ML knives:

It is forged and more rustic than I normally carry. I love it.

I like to carry my blades in a dangler with a D ring loop. Other than that - I am open to design suggestions.

I just seems to be screaming something more rustic - or more period - but I am not sure WHAT period - or the type of rustic that would look good with it.

Please make suggestions and post pics of ideas you might implement in making a sheath for this knife.

It reminds me a bit of some old 1800's trade knives. How about something like this with a dangler on it:

I'm not a big fan of fringe, but it could always be made shorter. I think a mottled, worn brown color would go well with it.

More seriously, a deep pouch with a belt loop and square D to a dangler with a sam browne stud like this one- but with bordeless (edge to edge) peen hammered pebble finish, might work well:
