I stopped by a Gun and Knife store in either Vermont or New Hampshire last week while on vacation. They had an "auto" knife that looked like a Buck conversion. I looked at it and it didn't have a Buck stamp on the blade or model or USA. I asked the owner if it was a true conversion Buck and he stated that it wasn't, but was a "knock-off". He showed me the sheath that came with it and it was a black Naugahide with "Buck Knives" stamped on the tab. He had other cheap knives, but I didn't see any more that resembled anything that I might be interested it. Thought I'd save my cash for a more reputable dealer...

These were posted sometime ago. The one's you saw may have been the same thing.

I bought one on an online auction once that was a chineese knockoff of a Buck 110 converted by Cumberland mountian. They even had BUCK, U.S.A. and the CM logo etched on the blade. It came in a small plain white box but I dont even recall a sheath.

I had one too, mine broke after less than 25 openings,i never even got it outside ,i paid about 35 dollars for it,waste of 35 dollars.LOL

Buck Maxam collaboration Vanguard is now on the Bay.

Lots of interesting knives around.

:D

Kurie: That's exactly what I saw. I think it was priced at $69.99, though. Pretty high for a Chinese knock-off, in my opinion.
