I had asked Wayne Goddard back in April if he had any old Sheffield knives and he had this one. I was wanting to do an etch on it and I just got around to doing it yesterday. Its a Joseph Euqiqt & Sons Made in Outlers, Sheffield, England. Really not sure about the last name, I could have read it wrong. Its got Double Shear Steel Hand Forged marked on it also. The other knife is one I got together today.......

Hey Ray,

I cant make out the etch on this crappy moniter. What do you thing in comparison with the other shear. You new I'd be curious :) I'm still lookin

Mark, Thought you'd be interested. I just did a few etches on the blade and there's a pattern there. I'm sure if I spent some more time finishing the blade off I'd get even more pattern out of it. Looking for these old knives may be a better way to find shear steel then gambling with the saw steel.

Ray I always like looking at your knives but, the handle wood on that one is stunning. What'cha got on it?
