Has anyone else had trouble with blemmishes in S90V or S30V?
I dont know what the ratio should be but with the 440C I've been using I have far less scrap,from pitts in the metal when finishing.
I had to throw out 2 of 10 (four inch blade blanks) one each of the S30V and S90V this seams excesive to me.Is it?I hope this is just an isolated case because CPM is a good steel for knife blades and would like to use it.

I've ground hundreds of blades in both steels and not had what you describe in any of them.
Have you called Bruce or Scott at Crucible?
Let us know what you find out.
