I have been speaking with Jack Alverez on a daily basis since he posted the Pre-tac and CQC8 for sale. We are working out details on a very complicated trade involving the Pre-tac. Normally I would not post prior to completing a deal, however this is to let other suspects know that this may be one of the reasons he has not gotten back to you.
I'm expecting this trade to be satisfactory for both of us, and as in any trade involving either expensive knives or large sums of money certain precautions need to be taken. I'll let you know how this shakes out.
For those of you interested in the CQC8, right now our deal involves the Pre-tac only however Jack is not wanting to complicate things furthur by trading or selling it in case it is necessary that it be used to finalized our trade.
I'll let you all know how this turns out and if the CQC8 is still available. And no, he does not have photos or scans available of either knife.
