CQC7 "V" grind?!

OK, I was on the Emerson site just now, and on a whim, looked at the waved CQC7 (probably my next purchase). In the specs for the knife, it says the blade has a "conventional V grind"! Now, on the regular 7, the specs say the grind is a chisel. Is Ernie expanding his horizons? Was the waved 7 info incorrect?

This is most interesting....

The site is incorrect. (I put my neck on the block here)

There are actually a couple of small mistakes on the site, but considering the size of the site, it's pretty damn good.

The "B" series knives are chisel ground. Period.

There is some confusion on the site about the "A" series knives. In several locations on the site, this is called a "Conventional V Grind". As we know, it's not. It's a "V" grind with a final Chisel ground edge.

Let's cross our fingers for a CQC7A (and "I&I" style Tanto) with a "Wave" soon.

CFI is a huge distributer of knives. Many times dealers and distributors print catalogs and update web pages based on "projected" releases. It's marketing and business.

CFI also lists the MT Socom Elite Tanto MA, which I just found out has been scraped.

These things happen.

The picture on CFI's web page appears to be a 99 CQC7SFS that a wave has been digitally grafted to. (But hey, I could be wrong)

I'm sure it'll come up as an example, so I'll beat everyone too it. At least one Dealer (not CFI) is still advertising production "Caracci Daggers", a project that has been flushed for "quit a while".

The Waved CQC7A is going to happen.

"When" remains to be seen. I called and it's not on the immediate production schedule. But there again, they have suprised us before, let's hope.
