Craig, Blackdog, and Christmas stress

I'm going out on a limb here because it is not my place to speak for either Craig or Blackdog, our two forum moderators. However, I happen to know that both gentlemen are under a great deal of holiday-related stress right now. As a result, these days they are not always as involved in the forum as much as we would like for them to be, nor as much as they usually have been. So we forumites need to cut them a little slack and not ask, or expect, too much of them. Both gents are totally commited to the forum, but there are only so many hours in the day. Having spoken to both of them (via email), I can assure all forumites that they will be back with a vengeance as soon as possible and that, after Christmas, there will be all kinds of great surprises awaiting us.

Steven,

You are certainly a saint! Thanks for writing what's in my mind. Do you do this for a living?

Seriously, just to "feed the habit," here are some snipits of up-and-coming stuff in January:

1) The new line, to include 15 and 18 inch AKs with choice of full tang or spike tang handles (both in wood and horn)

2) A "Letter from Lalit" directly to the forumites, where he speaks about his operation, his kamis, and other "inside" information. This should develop into a monthly letter - at least.

3) A new MONTHLY raffle for a pair of "mini-balance" khukuris (January), followed by a raffle for the AK of your choice (15 to 18 inches).

4) THE WWIII (of course, but I had to say it!).

Those are just a few of the things coming in the first quarter next year. The Second Quarter will be, in my opinion, even better. That's when we'll see the prototypes for the "non-khukuri" knives from Nepal that we've all been working on.

That's about it from the puzzle palace. Just needed a break from the day (12 khukuris went out yesterday, and 7 are going out today, in addition to my other daily business activities).

Incidentally, be it Y2K or just normal holiday hubub, I spoke to ANOTHER internet knife retailer today on the phone -- who was even more frazzled than I was! I pray for his sanity!
