Crazy ZT deal

Pretty sure deal spotting is against the rules site-wide. But this deal is ON this site...I don't know

The offer stands till midnight looking at their thread. People have already said good things about the light that comes with the knife, so its definitely a deal worth getting.

It's weird that their rechargeable flashlight doesnt come with a charger and they will offer it and charge for it later.. Basically it looks like you get a flashlight, but after battery dies there is no more use for it..
Hopefully I am wrong and Johnnie will provide an explanation..

Dealers call it the "old hook and line technique." :D Good on 'em for trying to help out though. I think? I didn't check the price on the knife.

good to know..
I did jump on the deal!

Cziv - same as everywhere.. $260, but you get flashlight free..

I expect this thread will probably be moved once the mods see it as it as the deals discussion topic for this subforum although not against site rules.

The Cave Flash 1800 seems to be the same as the "FandyFire STL-V2" for anyone that wants to do some comparison shopping. I've got a cheap Romisen from the big China flashlight source website (DX) that works great and is my truck flashlight. The black anodizing is wearing off like on all my other type 2 anodized lights. I've also got a very nice unlabeled HAIII anodized light from there that cost $60 or so and it is horrible. It looks nice and has great light but it overheats and cuts out after just a few minutes. If the reviews on DX are any indication the Cave Flash seems to be a decently made light that doesn't over heat and at $260 for the knife and light isn't a bad price. The prices seem to have come down a bit on the 0560 but not much. So even if you value the flashlight at $50 you are still getting it for around half price.

Offering free items with an advertised ZT knife also violates Kershaws MAP policy as well, just sayin.

Some of the reviews for the Cave Flash are neutral on CPF (but it's free). 18650 is a great LiIon battery "size" and chargers for the size show up all over the place.

can you link to cave flash review on cpf?

I was being polite. There is no way that I would carry the light that is being offered.

The flashlight looks like an Ultrafire/Trustfire/Campfire generic that has been rebranded. Though fair enough, they are typically direct drive and cost about $25 delivered from Asia. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?343748-New-flashlight-Cave-Flash-Cave-Flash-Pro-1800-Lumens-thoughts

Here is a link to a vendor that has a pretty good track record with me and others. He has what looks to me like the same light for $34 with free shipping. Trustfire 3800lm Flashlight

I run 18650 batteries about 4 hours a day, every day and prefer them. If you get a well known brand (FOURSEVENS, Sunway, Eagletac, Nitecore, Jetbeam, Fenix, Zebralight) that uses 2xCR123, they will usually take a single 18650 also. That is a bit of added versatility.
