Any chance you will have any of your credit card knives coming out soon?

I have the design finalized and my Titanium is bought. :D ETA - early to middle of next month

They will cut things and open beer. Other stuff too!

I think these will be very useful, they have no gimmicky features and are all business. I looked at a lot of CC knives and thought many had features that would almost work, this will work very well.

I probably made 100 models and spent about 40 hours on design alone, they will feel great in the hand.

cool.^
Daniel, do you like the K.I.S.S.-like friction folder? Serge does them.

I haven't done one like that with the exposed blade, I don't plan on one in the near future. I do have a frame lock like that, they are cool knives.

Thanks. They are cool but I like a more substantial handle.
Do you have a pic of your frame-lock exposed blade folder?

I agree...

No pics of that framelock, I need to find it! My Dad gave it to me, he uses one as a keychain knife. It's an inexpensive knife but pretty cool, maybe a Gerber. Chisel ground of course!

No sweat with da pic.
Carry on!! Which means back to the grinder!!

I'll get one when I come across it, it is pretty cool.

I hear you on grinding! Today has been serious, I just did some patina etching while my platen is cooling down. I'm super happy with the etch, got the exact look I wanted.

I just took 2 ibuprofen and it's back on!

Wahoo! for the CC Knife. Can't wait to see it!!

Hey thanks again for your help, I seriously couldn't have made one without you.

Getting the finger holes right was crucial, I am really liking the way I have them set up. There are 2 subtle choils that make it work just like a regular knife in hand.

I didn't break the mold on this one but I really think it will be the best. :D

...still trying to figure out the whole card strip thing! These will probably just be credit card shaped. :p ...excuse me Sir, you just swiped our machine in half!

There's only so much one can do with a Credit Card Knife. The label alone puts you in a box: credit card dimensions, not a folder, sharp edge. Surprisingly, most versions on the market still have managed to muck it up.

Given the design constraints, it's all about the human interface, i.e., the grip. If it isn't comfortable in the hand, if it isn't secure in the hand, if it doesn't present the edge in a proper fashion, it has missed the mark, it has failed.

We can pretend the focus is on opening the mail or a bottle of our favorite beverage but, in the back of your mind, it's all about self defense. Is this card a suitable backup when all else fails?

Snody is absolutely unapologetic in his videos and in his design. The Crisis Card is all about defense, about hurting someone who is intent on hurting you.

I recently received an Atwood WildCard. Too small and too awkward to wield in self defense. I have no experience if it will function well as a screwdriver or a wrench or a bottle opener.

Good luck, Daniel, it must be harder than it looks.

sounds very cool Danial I would love to see it .Pix please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you have any idea on the price?

A small clarification on my above comments. I don't object to a CC Knife having screwdriver, bottle opening, wrench turning capabilities. Heck, I wish they could tune my guitars. But, I've yet to find many that can do perform any of those functions competently and NONE of them can tune a guitar. Still, hope springs eternal. :)

I recently received an Atwood WildCard. Absolute failure. Too small and too awkward to wield in self defense. I have no experience if it will function as a screwdriver or a wrench or a bottle opener. I suspect not. But, I do know I'd rather have just about any other card knife on the market if I needed a last ditch self defense tool.

Good luck, Daniel, it must be harder than it looks.

Good stuff there.

This one will be very capable for defensive purposes. Carbidized Titanium leaves a very nasty cut and cuts through just about anything. I have a limited edition one coming out that will also pack a serious punch. A small lanyard can be attached for fast deployment, the holes are large enough and on the correct side.

I noticed a lot of cards were actual credit card size and would not actually fit in a wallet, or if they did they were impossible to pull out quickly. For defensive purposes mine will carry in a wallet and can be easily deployed. "sure let me get my wallet"

I'm very close on pricing, stay tuned.

No pics yet, I want you guys to see the real deal.

I understand and agree.

I look at a lot of knives or multi-tools and see features I don't understand or that will not work. I feel a list of features may sell a knife which is nice but I plan on repeat customers.

I have sold more knives as repeat sales than any other way.

After lots of thought I decided a CC knife was too thin to be a decent wrench, who needs a wing nut opener?, screwdriver... I'd just cut myself, etc. The heat treat is different on tools than blades with steel and Titanium is not the best material for wrenches. I decided to skip all the frills and go with what works, it isn't boring looking either!
I always listen to input but as a knifemaker it is my job do do all the homework and make sure everything works!

Guitar tuning is free if you buy in person and bring your guitar! Dropped D or Open tunings, no extra charge. I hear if you flash the card at most music stores they will... never mind. :D

I'm waiting on a big chamfer bit and I'll have the first one finished soon! I worked on it a lot yesterday and hope to have it completed by this weekend

I'll let you guys decide but I think this will be the best CC knife out there.

How big a chamfer bit? Have you got it yet? Let me know I may be able to help.

Daniel has been teasing - or is it torturing - me with little clues about them. I can only speculate about them but what I'm certain of, I want one! And you will, too. :)
