I have a new CRKT Apache 7013 and and curious about the bevel of the cutting edge on the blade. Why is the beveling on one side? Is this for cutting seatbelt material and such? Does the one bevel aid in cutting through tough material? By the way, this is one tough knife. Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Your Apache is probably fully serrated - save for a small pl. edge section at the tip. CRKT V-grinds the much larger pl. edge section on their part. ser. blades. This is common practice. Your serrations are great for cutting seat belts, or any fibrous material. And if you properly maintain your edge, particularly the "points" on the serrations, the knife can be used for general utility. BTW, you have one of the best knives for the $ available.
