.... ME ,I got one today , from Jim Hammond (actualy the knife guy at the store I frequent got them from him directly , I got there 10 min later). The box is signed and everything . These won't be available for a while yet , and thia is the DESERT CRUISER, with a tope (sp) desert camo color Ti-nitrate coated blade and grips . BIG knife , fills the hand .If someone will post them I wil get some pics to you ...

Looks like a tough little knife. I like the blade shape. How long is the blade and OAL? That's a LAWKS on top, right?

It looks like the clip can be moved left or right, tip up or down. Hmm...nice.

Blades

They should be available in feb or june .

The blade is 3.5 inches long .

The most interesting thing is the stop pin , if Dex could put the pic I took of it taken apart , we could take a look at why it is such a smooth and solid opener ...

Actually I've noticed that they are available now from distributors, but xmas and holidays are priority at the moment.. so practically January.

The pics look like the scales are nicely contoured zytel - something that is very uncommon these days with all the G10 flat handles.

Looks like I'd better get one of these... and I'm sure a "black" version is in the works too...

With the pointy 3.5" blade, large handle (relative to blade), tall thumbstuds and open design, this looks like a newer, cooler version of the CRKT/Hammond Mirage.

The dimpled Zytel and curvy handle also remind me of a CRKT M1, which wasn't pointy enough for me.

I hope that this new blade is heavier for easy flicking.

I just got my Desert Cruiser about a week ago and I am very satisfied! It looks a lot better in your hand than in a pic. The handle is much more sculpted(3D) than it appears in pics, it fills the hand just right. It was pretty sharp out of the box, nothing spectacular, but excellent for production. I like the flipper, works like the M16, M1. It came with 2 pocket clips, extra torx screws and a little torx tool. Thumb studs are nice, but I usually use the flipper, and LAWKS is nice to have on a linerlock- and it has a nice thumb ramp when its open(although it seems to be positioned for a very short thumb!). I have done quite a bit of cutting with it already, some cordage, opening cardboard packages, etc and I've touched it up once already. Overall I would definetaly recommend this knife for around $55 and got a high quality, tough piece. Hope this helps anybody looking.:D
