I have already seen a picture over at Keating's Modern Knives. Does anyone know when this will be available? The piece over at MK said it would include two sheaths, one regular belt sheath, and a kydex or concealex IWB sheath for $49.95.

Stickfighter2,

I spoke with Rod Bremer of CRKT the other day about their new Companion and he told me that it should ship out to the retailers in February if all goes according to plan.

Mario,
It's been a while. Good to hear from you again. (Still keeping your local butcher in business?) Thanks for the info on the CRKT Companion. I was (and still am) a big Cold Steel fan, but this last year I have taken a BIG liking to CRKT having purchased or received as gifts, an Urban Shark, a Point Guard, and a Kasper Fighting Folder. I am REALLY looking forward to the Companion. It may even replace my old CS Hai Hocho in the Sastre IWB rig. Anyway, thanks again and Happy New Year to you and yours.

P.S. Had any Adobo, Lumpia(sp) or Ponsit(sp) lately?

I heard they were slated for mid January delivery. I guess it has been pushed behind a bit.

Stickfighter and others, if you like their Kasper folder, what do you think about a Ti handled one??

Stickfighter2,

Nice to hear from you too and Happy New Year!
I didn't recognize you by your new moniker at first.

Sadly, my mom wasn't able to come out for the holidays, so no adobo or lumpia for a while now. I keep searching for a source around here.

I still like to do the occasional meat and bone cutting. Lately, however, I've found that the newly available tatami omote mats, when soaked and rolled into goza with bamboo cores, cut identically to meat and bone, make a much longer target- allowing for more cuts- and are much cheaper to boot. So I've been doing allot of test cutting with those.

Nakano, I'd be all over a Ti handled CRKT KFF!

Mario

Mario,
Tatami mats?? I don't know Mario, how good are they after you B-B-Q them?

By the way I still use my other name over at KFC, unfortunately it was taken here at BF when I signed up so....
Anyhow, good hearing from you again.

Nakano, as for the Ti CRKT KFF, it's sound good enough for me NOT to be able to afford it!
