Do any of you forumites own a custom folder made by Gary Crowder? I got to handle both the single and double bladed mini-trapper models recently. They really have superb fit finish and filework. I think I am going order one but thought I check with you guys and gals for your input.

Thanks for looking and responding.

PS: Dale E. (#3) you will be missed.

I checked out Gary's work at the ACKS and found the mini-trappers really nice. I went back too late to pick one up...They were apparently very popular. I would get one next time I see him at a show.

Sam,

Thanks for your quick response. I thought they would make great daily carry in a traditional style pocketknife.

BTTT - Anyone else out there familiar with Gary's work?

GB,
I have mammoth ivory mini trapper coming from Kevin of Edge Equipment that will arrive on Tuesday. I will give you a report after I have played around with it a bit.

Received the folder yesterday and love it

Very nice fit and finish with excellant filework. This will be my daily carry "gents knife" and feel it will work out wonderfully as a useful and beautiful companion. I highly encourage you to grab one of his folders soon!

Hey GB,

I didn't think they let Undue Perversity fans have sharp pointy objects...lol

Gary Crowder's work is very nice, clean craftmanship and made to work no matter how fancy the materials used!

We are happy to be working with Gary to bring his knives a wider audience and I just knew you guys would like them

On a scale from 1 to10 Gary's work is a 10plus.Not to mention he's a super humble and polite gentleman. There recently was some of his work available at the EDGE Equipment.

I have one of Gary's folders and when I do happen to carry a folder, that's the one I carry. It has as good a fit and finish as any knife I have used. Gary takes great pride in his work and strives to continually improve. I don't think you could go wrong by buying on of his folders.

I have one of Gary's mini-trappers in black micarter and CPM154. It has file work and it very well done and his price was great.

As a matter of fact, I just talked to him tonight and I ordered a barlow pattern from him. He was a super nice guy to talk to and hopefully he will be here on BFC before too long.

I think anyone who orders a knife from this gentleman will be very pleased.

Hey guys, been a very busy week so have not been able to spend much time here. Thanks for all your posts and information.

I am waiting for a single blade trapper with burgandy micarta scales to become available and I will be purchasing for everyday carry most likely.

Hope all are having a great weekend.

And yes we Boilermakers are allowed to carry knives contrary to what some may think.
