I have an opportunity to get either one at about the same price. So , what are your opinions? thanks. :D

of the two I use the srk and have really liked it, tuff as nails this knife has taken alot of hard use and is still a good knife.

I have both and would recommend the Becker. Camillus makes both of them, of the same steel, but the Becker is a thinner, sharper edge, and just as strong.

The SRK has a Kraton handle and the Becker has a hard, very large handle. It's a matter of personal preference which one you find impossible to hold comfortably. :) You can sand down the Becker handle, rough it up for a better grip. I like it fine as is.

I've had at-least a couple of both, and I like the BK7 the best of the two...Better handle, wider blade.

Hello, there, harrymole!

I have both of these, and they're both good knives in my opinion.

Overall usage should determine which one to get, because they are not totally alike. If I lost both tomorrow, & could only get one back right now, it would probably be the SRK. It is a generally more useful knife because it's smaller & more versatile. The BK-7 seems like more of a "camp knife" because of it's size. The SRK would be more adept at dressing game, etc.

The SRK also seems to be a little more robust as far as far as I can tell. I got mine as one of CS's "factory seconds" to use as a beater, and it is tough. It's kind of "stubby" for it's length, and has never let me down while engaged in one of my favorite pastimes: prying & digging bullets out of trees! :)

Depends on what you are going to use the knvies for.
The SRK is a good hard use knife for its size, it has a very thick edge, and can be pounded through serious knots, cut a tire off a rim, split apart a rotted log to get at grubs, etc.

The BK7 has a much thinner edge, and a more acute primary grind. It will slice and cut well.

IF you can, try to handle each before you buy. The square Kraton handle of the SRK can be abbrasive to some hands, and the swiss glass of the Becker is slick, and may be shaped worng for your hand.

Both are decent knives for the price, solid working tools.
