Specifications: Ti-Lite #26S
Blade Length: 4"
Blade Thickness: 3mm
Overall Length: 8 3/4"
Weight: 4.6 oz.
Steel: AUS 8A Stainless
Handle: Titanium
$200USD Factory
I got this in a trade with CKE, for a Salsa and Meerkat. Recieved today, but finally get time now to look it over. Just got a job today, so I'll be getting a rig when I'm paid.
Initial:
It's thin(belly), nice rounded handles. good heft. clip is stiff, but can be adjusted with vice grips.
Handle:
The length works, but it's a bit thin. I can see myself getting a thumb cramp over extended use. The "flipper" guards allow both index and thumb a grip without contacting edge. Nice heft. Balance point on the opened knife is b/w the first 2 sets of large holes.
Blade:
Where's the belly? I knew it is a thin knife, designed like a 50's stilleto. Not exactly a heavy use knife, will make a nice dress carry though.
Edge:
Factory edge hollow grind 8A. Little sharper right now than the lumto was, clean shave first stroke. The difference will show over use though, both durability and sharpening.
Lock/Lockup:
Contacts about 1/2way across. I can get some movement if I don't have anything on one of the 2 guards. I'm picky on this though after my millie. I'm sure that by tightening the pivot I can get rid of most of it. Lock is a bit stiff to unlock, taking some pressure to move it.
Movement:
smooth. I've handled instore before, so I'm used to the direction on this one.
Fit/Finish:
the screw holes are recessed, which is good. The clip has a deep enough pocket to hold it, but needs to be loosened a bit.
Coating looks good.
BUT: The fancy little holes? rough edges. The spacer in the spine, full length? has a ridge over the entire spine, sticking out to be rubbed off. Quite visible at the butt end.
Overall:
it ain't spyderco. thumbstud...
it's a linerlock, so I can take this one apart for maintanence. Have to check my pile of torx drivers. the screw right by the bend will be a set-side b/c it's short.
