I picked up a few Trail Hawks to fool around with. Been raining a couple days, so I managed to finished this one today. These things are as much fun as Ontario machetes to play with. I liked Vec's digital camo look, so I totally copied it, not that this even resembles his stuff.

This thing will shave now.

I'm gonna give it a few days for everything to dry and cure, then I'll get some better pics of it outside.

Did you use the original wooden handle? That thing would be a pain in the ass to replace, nice mod for sure though.

Thanks guys.

It's the original handle. If/when it breaks, just lop it off below the head and knock the rest out of the eye. That's what I do with my throwing hawks too. But yeah, your not just going to take this head off!! The handle wouldn't fit through the eye for sure.

Love the paint job.....it would be ashame to mess it up. Then again, IMO something with a little wear on it looks cool as well.

The endless variety of mods to the Trail hawk go from one end of the spectrum to the other. Fishshooter, your military theme works well and looks mean, super work! What did you use for the grip?

On a side note, these 3 new T.H.s came with a longer handle than the two I received previously.

Took this thing out back swinging and throwing it. The longer handle changes it's handling quite a bit. Snapped some pics to post.
